B&D Update December 18, 2025: Are Things About to Get Spicy?
Submitted by Bond & Devick Wealth Partners on December 18th, 2025At Bond&Devick, our team brings a wide mix of life experiences and opinions—on everything from markets to music to literature. No one is ever truly wrong (except Matt, who insists chili shouldn’t have beans), and those different perspectives help us see the world more clearly. We believe that diversity of thought makes us a stronger team and leads to better guidance for our clients.
Lately, though, the stock market has been… well, a little bland. Since spring, it’s been on a steady upward trend—nice, but not exactly the kind of chili that wins awards. Sure, most investors love a smooth, predictable climb, but markets don’t operate like a crockpot. Sooner or later, the spice level is going to heat up, and when it does, a little financial indigestion is totally normal.
Volatility may feel uncomfortable in the moment, but it’s those ups and downs that create long-term opportunity. One of the best ways to keep heartburn at bay is to rebalance your portfolio to stay aligned with your risk tolerance. Diversification helps, too—kind of like eating your fruits and vegetables. Not always exciting, but essential for keeping your system running smoothly over time.
We can’t predict exactly where the markets will take us in 2026, but our recipe for long-term success hasn’t changed since 1982: a healthy serving of diversification paired with a dollop of rebalancing.
Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy, and safe 2026.
