RJ Devick CFP®

CEO, Partner, Financial Advisor

RJ is CEO of Bond&Devick and has been a dedicated Financial Advisor for over 25 years.  RJ specializes in investment management, retirement planning, and sustainable, responsible, and impact investing. He began his career with Penny Bond & Associates in 1993, became a partner in 2001, and took on the role of sole owner of Bond and Devick Financial Network in 2006. RJ is frequently invited to share his investment insights and portfolio strategies with other professionals, particularly on integrating sustainable, responsible, and impact investing into portfolio construction. He has also served in various capacities for the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota, where he was a past board member.

Deeply committed to the Twin Cities community, RJ actively participates in numerous local charitable organizations. Notably, he has been instrumental in establishing two annual fundraisers for the People Serving People homeless shelter. On a global scale, RJ and his wife, Teresa, have played a crucial role in supporting and overseeing two schools in southern Ethiopia (Hosanna and Ottoro), where their daughter, Aster, was born. They are also recognized as Alight Changemakers.

In 2008, the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts honored RJ with the Alumni of Notable Achievement award for his outstanding service to the University, his clients, and the community. In 2014, he received Cetera's prestigious "Quality of Life" award, acknowledging his dedication to his profession, clients, and volunteer activities. RJ has also served on the University of Minnesota Adoption Medicine Clinic Advisory Board and the People Serving People's Board of Directors. Currently, he serves on the board of the ACLU of Minnesota.

Outside of his professional life, RJ enjoys traveling, working on social justice issues, and spending quality time with his family.

Rob Caverly CFP®, CSRIC®, CRPC™

President, Partner

Rob serves as President of Bond&Devick, where he is passionate about helping clients build financial confidence through personalized, comprehensive planning strategies and education. Since joining the firm in 2014, he has advanced to the Board of Directors in 2017, Partner in 2018, and President in 2023. Rob oversees day-to-day business while ensuring the team has the resources needed to deliver exceptional client service.

With experience across the business landscape, particularly in financial services, Rob works with our team to bring practical knowledge and strategic insight to complex financial situations. His commitment to client education has helped numerous families navigate important financial transitions with confidence.

Rob graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Management and Marketing. Dedicated to ongoing professional development, he obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2016, followed by his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ and Chartered SRI Counselor™ designations, reflecting his expertise in retirement and sustainable investing strategies.

When not serving clients, Rob enjoys games —particularly soccer, football, board games, and golf—both as a participant and spectator. An avid reader and accomplished traveler who has visited all 50 states, Rob cherishes time spent with friends and family above all else.

Andy Feterl CFP®

Partner, Financial Advisor

Andy has been a valued part of Bond&Devick Wealth Partners since 2007, bringing over 25 years of experience as a financial advisor. As a Principal Shareholder and Partner since 2011, Andy also served on the original Bond&Devick Board of Directors for 16 years.

Andy specializes in working with high-net-worth families, focusing on generational wealth transfers through customized estate, tax, and investment strategies. As the firm's business owner specialist, he collaborates with business owners and their advisors on exit strategies, often incorporating retirement plan services.

In addition to his work with families and business owners, Andy provides investment advice to several nonprofit organizations, attending their board meetings as a financial expert.

Andy is a past President and Chair of the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota and has taught financial planning and tax courses for several universities' CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation programs. He holds a degree in accounting from Northern State University in South Dakota, which has provided him with a strong foundation in tax planning.

Outside of his professional commitments, Andy enjoys watching and participating in various sports, with a particular passion for golf.

Kristine Bisanz

Partner

Kristine has been with Bond & Devick since 2005. She joined the Board of Directors in 2008 and was named partner in 2011. Kristine manages Bond&Devick’s marketing, human resources, corporate finances, and client communications, with a special emphasis on their website, market updates, and social media. She also coordinates volunteer activities and client events and serves as the Client Care Director, supporting clients during times of transition.

Kristine is a member of TeamWomenMN and has served as a Mentor in their Mentoring Program. She is currently on Impact Hub's Leadership Task Force, focusing on supporting and raising awareness for local B Corps.

Kristine graduated from the College of St. Benedict with degrees in Business Management and Psychology. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys decorating, traveling, photography, and spending time with friends and family.

Teresa Devick

Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Technology Officer

Teresa has been part of the Bond&Devick Team since 2006. She is their Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for all compliance and supervisory functions. She ensures the firm is compliant with the laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures, and keeps B&D up-to-date on all changes. Teresa is also our technology point person, overseeing all computers, software, and network systems, including disaster recovery. Cybersecurity and protecting our clients’ information are her top priorities.

Teresa is passionate about several service organizations, including Feeding America, Save the Children, and Spirit of America. She has worked alongside Alight (formerly The American Refugee Committee), where she spearheaded efforts to set up a computer lab in a Rwandan refugee camp and supported their work to create a Shelter Depot in a Ugandan camp. She also volunteers with the International Institute of MN to set up homes for new immigrants. Finally, she is on the Board for CROSS Services food shelf and runs their annual pickleball tournament.

Outside of work and service, Teresa enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially at their cabin in Northern Minnesota and her hometown of Albuquerque.

Nick Johnson CFP®, EA

Manager of Wealth Management

Nick is the Manager of the Wealth Management Team at Bond&Devick. He leads the Wealth Management Team in developing comprehensive client financial plans, managing team workflows, and enhancing wealth management services. Nick works closely with advisors and the Operations Team to support seamless communication and collaboration across the entire Bond & Devick team. He is also responsible for maintaining strong relationships with the firm’s accountant partners.

Nick joined Bond&Devick in 2018 and has been working in the financial services industry since 2011. He obtained his CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) certification in 2015 and earned his EA (Enrolled Agent) certificate from the IRS in 2020. As the firm's tax expert, Nick oversees tax planning for clients, ensuring their financial strategies are both comprehensive and tax-efficient.

Nick holds a BA Degree in Marketing from the University of Minnesota - Duluth (UMD) and has two professional certifications: CFP® and EA.

In his free time, Nick enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is a dedicated fan of Minnesota sports teams, cheering on the Twins, Wild, Vikings, and UMD Bulldogs whenever he can.

Matt Farris CFA®

Investment Manager

Matt joined Bond&Devick in 2024 as an Investment Manager, where he focuses on researching and reviewing investments and monitoring client portfolios. With over a decade of experience in finance, his background includes roles at a law firm, a mutual fund company, and a financial planning firm in Michigan since 2018. This diverse experience, particularly from the last six years, has equipped him with the skills necessary to excel in his current role. 

Originally from South Dakota, Matt graduated from Princeton University in 2014 with a BA in Architecture, where he was also a member of the Men’s Division I Ice Hockey Team. He is a graduate of the Ensemble Practice’s G2 Program, a two-year program designed to develop leadership and business management skills for financial advisors. Additionally, he is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charter holder, a globally recognized professional credential that is the gold standard for investment management and financial analysis.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys playing and watching sports, particularly golf and hockey, and loves spending time outdoors with his friends and family.

Brittany Metzig CFP®, NSSA®

Financial Advisor

Brittany Metzig brings over 25 years of experience in financial planning and has been a valued member of the Bond&Devick team since 2011. She leads the firm’s retirement planning process, working one-on-one with clients to develop customized plans that reflect their unique goals and life circumstances. She’s known for her precision and care, as well as her ability to simplify even the most overwhelming financial topics, making the planning process feel accessible and empowering.

As a Certified National Social Security Advisor (NSSA®), Brittany is a trusted resource for navigating the often complex world of Social Security. She helps clients evaluate their options and make confident, informed decisions.

When she’s not guiding clients toward a more secure future, Brittany enjoys cooking, traveling, and proudly cheering on her three sons in their latest pursuits.

Sabrina Fay CFP®, RICP®, ChFc®, BFA™, CLTC

Financial Advisor

Sabrina joined Bond&Devick in December 2023 as a Financial Advisor. She began her financial services career over a decade ago, serving as a Wealth Advisor with a large investment firm and later as a Financial Advisor for a private wealth advisory firm. Sabrina's diverse background includes roles as a project manager, instructional designer, software tester, math and science teacher, and technical writer.

Sabrina holds an MS Degree in Instructional Systems from Florida State University, an MS Degree in Software Engineering, and a BS Degree in Communication from Florida Institute of Technology. She has earned five professional certifications: CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™), RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional®), ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant®), BFA™ (Behavioral Financial Advisor), and CLTC (Certification for Long-Term Care).

Sabrina has a long history of community service through her involvement with the Midway Chamber of Commerce, Shoreview YMCA, Stillwater Community Education, and her welcoming faith community. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys rowing on Gervais Lake, cycling on The Gateway Trail, reading in her hammock, and singing "Wonderwall" at MNUFC games. She also loves challenging friends and family to Eurostyle board games.

Zack Johnson CFP®

Financial Advisor

Zack Johnson joined Bond&Devick in July 2021 as an Associate Advisor, working alongside Andy Feterl and his clients. After passing his CFP® exam in 2023 and completing the required 6,000 practice hours, Zack officially became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in February 2024 and was promoted to Lead Financial Advisor.

Since joining Bond&Devick, Zack has built, presented, and implemented retirement projections and financial plans for clients. Along with his collaboration with the wealth management and operations teams, Zack has established himself as a lead advisor working hand in hand to provide high levels of service to a range of clients, including executives, business owners, and retirees.

Zack holds a BS Degree in Finance from Minnesota State University – Mankato, where he chose the CFP® path within his Finance Degree. His interest in financial planning was sparked at an early age through conversations with his parents and grandparents. He also gained valuable experience as a summer intern at a financial planning firm.

Zack holds a deep appreciation for his family, cherishing the relationships he shares with his grandparents (he has 10 of them!) and spending time with them in Minnesota, Arizona, and Florida. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, perfecting his golf game, and being at the hockey rink.

Michelle Kpissay

Associate Financial Advisor

Michelle’s career began in the banking industry over 10 years ago. She started as a teller while attending college and progressed through several promotions to Branch Manager, her position before moving to Bond&Devick in 2021. Her tenure included positions in financial services, assisting clients with a variety of account services. Michelle’s interest in helping clients manage their comprehensive financial situation made her pursue a career change to become a financial advisor. She is currently working on obtaining her CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) certification while training with RJ and our team.

In her free time, Michelle likes to cook and explore the city with her children, including participating in local community events, to expose them to new things. 

Deuce Braun

Associate Financial Advisor

Bond&Devick welcomed Deuce to the Bond&Devick Wealth Partners team in August 2024.  As a member of the wealth management team, he is focused on supporting advisors and assisting with client account servicing, helping B&D continue to provide an exceptional client experience. During his college years, Deuce completed two summer internships at a financial planning firm, where he gained a foundational knowledge of the industry and confirmed his passion for helping others through financial planning. His educational background, including the completion of the CFP® coursework, equips him with an understanding of comprehensive financial planning. 

Deuce exemplifies the core values of Bond&Devick with his client-first mindset, collaborative spirit, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.

Deuce received a BBA Degree in Finance and Financial Planning from The University of Minnesota–Duluth, where he held a three-year term in the Labovitz School of Business and Economics Financial Planning Club. Currently, Deuce is studying to sit for the CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) certification exam.

In his free time he enjoys fishing and playing pickup basketball.
