The Path Forward
Client conversations have changed recently, especially with those who live in Minnesota. Maybe it’s the warmer weather as someone today told us, with pure joy, that they were looking forward to mowing the lawn today – a chance to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine. Or perhaps people are excited that our state is about to “reopen”. Many of us Minnesotans are eyeing June 1st which is the first day we can get our hair cut and enjoy an adult beverage of our choice at a local bar or restaurant, with many restrictions, of course.
People seem ready to move forward, if just a bit, toward whatever our new normal is. Our office building sent an email welcoming us back with open arms starting next week (along with a long list of changes to life in the workplace). One door is to be used for entering the building, one for leaving. Limit two people to an elevator at a time and you may sit in the lobby, but you must be 6 feet away from anyone else. Even though life will be different and full of new rules, it is still a step along the path forward. We are sure this path will be fraught with challenges with fits and starts along the way, but it feels good to be making progress.
Bond&Devick is following the “Stay Safe MN” guideline which encourages those who can to continue to work from home. So, on Tuesday, May 26th at 1:00pm we will be coming to you live from our homes for our Zoom B&D Market Insights Webinar with guest speaker, Anne Kinsman. We hope you can attend. Here is the link to register:
Until then, enjoy mowing the lawn or whatever activity brings you joy in this new normal.
